In this section I will plan out what I will talk about, and the Design of the slides

Slide Research

I decided that it would be smart to watch videos of talks and learn from their slide design, How do they convey meaning with their design

While Apple have made errors in their slides, such as the pie chart incident, for the most part they work, considering sales of the iPod.

Notice the minimalism and simpleness, “ Widescreen iPod with touch controls” that’s it, of course steve would explain it further, but for anyone watching, they can see that it is an widescreen device with touch controls, and use of iconography, rather than showing the product, the icon of the product is just as effective.

I also love the use of a snarky rhetorical question, changing the perception of something that was quite common at the time to “wow who really does want a stylus?”

A blunt question can change your way of thinking altogether

Slide Templates

I decided I want to create some assets and templates for the slides, I want them to be designed well, So I looked at some previous examples of slideshows and some of the Bauhaus work as well

I then created some ideas on Figma

I’m just worrying about the lack of colour? maybe it is not needed but I don’t know. I like the direction the squiggly lines are going, but some of the shapes I’ve created are cool too. I wonder does it really matter 🤷‍♂️. So long as the slide information is presented fine and the design isn’t too complicated, I just want elements of flow in my design
