So after doing some research and finding out my music is and what it’ll be. The music app itself is a interactive/experimentative one, with sampling, vinyl scratching, social media and many more. So I feel it has to represent that. There are few styles I can think of
Japanese 90’s Video Game Box Art - Funky, Bright, Experimental
Swiss Style - Bold, Adaptable, Simplistic
Macintosh Classic/E-Ink technology - Nostalgia, Cool, Niche

I decided to look at different music players considering my app will be interactive and allow for sampling elements
The Mini Disk Player is a popular retro item that played and recorded data , its UI design is similar to the Macintosh aesthetic

The Zune was created by Microsoft, and it was a portable and digital music player, The ui is simplistic but too Lazy in my opinion

The iPod is a discontinued series by apple which had multiple iterations with my favourite being the iPad Nano, I remember being able to navigate by making a circular motion on the menu pause circle area, The ui is very out of date but it is iconic and was easy for new users

Record players are a device which plays vinyl records through the use of a needle and waves, They are the most common for when it comes to retro music collecting.
I think the design aesthetic of the Audio Technica record players are my favourite and I’d probably base my project of their models

Some of these will be physical and digital but I feel they should be included due to their innovation and design

I decided to go with a Grunge Swiss design as I feel that would represent how sporadic sampling can be and the posters in the Miro Board encapsulate that, That being said I did experiment with the other design styles for the project
I decided to move on to music app names as I was about to start wireframing and I wanted to create some wireframes that would have the apps name like the loading page. Here they are
Nano - Named after the iPod Nano
