first things first. what is “The Street of Crocodiles with Bruno Schultz”?
According to good reads, the street of crocodiles is the recollection of Bruno Schulz’s boyhood memories and memories from his merchant family’s life, Bruno talks about his father a crazy shopkeeper who imports rare birds’ eggs to hatch in his attic, believes tailors’ dummies should be treated like people, as well as having a fear of cockroaches causing his father to resemble one, his father eventually becomes a heretic prophet, a magician and a trickster Bruno Schulz was a Polish and Jewish person who was killed by the Nazis in 1942, he was considered to be the leading polish writer between the two world wars, this book brings together his complete fiction, this book showcases the surrealist vision if one of the twentieth century’s most gifted and influential writers.
So in summary it is about a Magical city and the people who live there who are crazy, the book depicts the struggle of mental illness and the child’s imagination whilst being compared to capitalism and working life, The book is essentially a review and representation of the 20th Century.

it is actually a stop motion puppet movie, and it has very weird imagery. it is very creepy, reminding me of Tim Burton’s stop motion in movies such as Corpse Bride and The Halloween before Christmas. so maybe I could use that as a source of inspiration:
