In this section I will talk about the screens and why I designed them/chose to create them
I decided that an introduction section was important to really sell my Ideas concept, as first impressions are important, I decided to keep the design simple and adhere to the style guide that I had made, I enjoyed making the motion graphics for this part, a lot of it was just me experimenting on after effects, but I feel it’s a fun introduction and it serves its purpose to collect data from the user and then use said data to build the app around the user.

The landing/home page is the spine of the app, so it was important to get it right and I feel by using the brand colours in a 60/30/10 rule helps the app stand out, well to be honest it’s like 60% White, 20% Blue and 10% for Lime and Orange.
I had the idea of creating an app which covers music, social media, news and editing, and through the use of Iconography and off the landing page alone, I’ve mentioned these features without actually getting to the meat and potatoes, this helps to create a strong impression of the app and helps build up the brand scatter.
If I were to develop this screen further I’d possibly allow you to scroll vertically or add more posts like a song of the day or users have been listening to this artists lately, just to further expand the Idea of the landing page.

For the search screen I wanted it to be similar to Spotify as I feel they’ve made a good one, but when you actually search for the artists you get a little information about them and then the profile will have more info all their albums and other work like music videos which I think is cool, I’d develop it further by allowing vertical scrolling.
This was one of my favourite parts of the project, creating a fake social media for my music app, Which probably shouldn’t of been done but I don’t I love the idea of people talking about their favourite albums or trolling people online for listening to something, I made it as a way to explore social media UI and to add some diversity to the app so It wouldn’t be your typical boring music player, I’m proud of these screens but to develop it further I’d add more to the profile page and add more content to the feed.

Here is the sampler and music player screen, the sampler was annoying me to be honest, It is inspired by the Roland SP-404 and It was hard to lay it out on a Phone and consider thumb sizes but I think I’ve done the best I can here, as for the music player it is a typical design but with a cool feature which took some time to do which is the ability to flip the album cover so the user can appreciate the art and detail that goes into the album cover, the sampler editing screen was annoying as well, It is just a direct rip of the garage band UI, so that is what I’d develop further, I’d find a way to make a good editing software but the reason it is a rip is because I wanted to focus on more important features.
