This is the first idea I’ve had for self-development. I really want to edit videos as I have some previous experience but it was never really something I put effort into. so I want to do it. I was thinking starting small by making video game edits then moving on to bigger things! I also just want to distract myself from the whole visa application as I’m definitely overthinking the application, it is stressful…

So to be honest, the idea for this just came in my head one day I will draw a storyboard but I essentially want to create an edit of the courier from Fallout New Vegas and their journey across the Mojave desert, so I to be from their POV and the different landmarks of new Vegas all the footage will be recorded by me and synced to Horse with no Name by America, I want it to be 3-4 minutes and show walking, gun fights, meeting interesting characters and so forth.

Essentially it’s an excuse to play Fallout New Vegas

Planning

So I can’t just get into this without a plan of action, I want to organise the following:

Storyboard

So my idea was to have the courier roam New Vegas on his quest to get the platinum chip, meet the factions and take over Vegas. I want it to be the independent ending, as that is the one that feels the most canon, that or the House one.

As discussed I want it to play to Horse with No Name which lasts 4 Minutes 12 Seconds. Which is a good amount of time to fit all this content into the edit, It’ll be put in three acts:

  1. Waking up and traveling around Vegas for Benny
  2. Meeting House, Caesar, NCR, Yes Man, all the Mini ones
  3. Battle of Hoover Dam

During each chorus I want there to be action, gunfights to keep it exciting of course

Graphics

For graphics, I looked online for mods that would enhance the look of the game and found screenshots of the ones I wanted
