This page will focus on development of fixing issues that I found with the audit, and fixes with the critique
I started by creating a sketch of the new home screen, I focused on the issues I found during the audit and tried to incorporate that
I wanted to include some Icons and focus on more government related issues, rather than having the home page contain news, It would include quick access to book an MOT, or to get benefits etc.
I also changed the design of the brand to be more government like, similar to gov.uk I also focused on accessibility, each colour contrasts with each other with a minimum rating of 10.00.
For the news screen, I wanted something simple that people could easily see, as if there was an emergency I’d want to know immediately
I then had the idea of using tags for each article/alert. just to make it clear what sector the news affects/talks about. saving the user time and improving efficiency
For the contact screen, I knew I had to get rid of the keyboard, such an ugly, unnecessary feature, I also wanted people to easily access common services
I also decided to redesign the footer of the site, as there wasn’t much to redesign here, overall comparing the previous designs with these redesigns, I notice a considerably positive difference.
