What is User Research?

User Research is the practice of studying how real people interact including their behaviors, needs, motivations, and pain points to inform the design and development of products or services

Before testing we need to define what we want to learn. these are our research questions and they determine everything else

Common Pre-Launch Research Questions

• Usability - Is it usability? are there majore blockers or issues?
• Concept Validation - Is the concept sound? How do users react to it
• Mental Model Fit - Does the design match how users see the world, do flows, content and outcomes align with their expectations
