What is a trend - a general direction in which something is developing or changing, or the subject of many posts on social media or an application in a short time
Directions of the industry and where it’s going, it is subjective.
We had an exercise were we had to write down as many perceived trends of UX that you can think of, we are to include recent development you are aware of, current issues being faced and future trends
The most common trend/topic was A.I. but there were other ones like accessibility, sustainability and AR/VR technologies
One (which was mentioned once) that interested me was maximalism in design, It reminded me of the cruelty squad ui.
Not something you see much recently and probably done for a good reason, but you can’t forget it as it is so unique.
I also found another one that was mentioned once to be interesting, it was Multi Model, multi-model refers to a system using multiple, separate models combined to work together. It’ll be interesting to see where that technology will develop
the purpose of this task was to gather our thoughts, discuss those thoughts. Research and broadening our ideas for the UX Trend.
We were told to use the newly published resources on blackboard to identify what you believe the key trends in UX Design.
We are to further investigate these using an A.I tool demonstrated in class as well as using Google Scholar, UU Library and own resources to find out more
By the end of today we are to have a clearer understanding of trends in general, approximately three. the ones that I find most notable. 1-2 references to get you started on report writing.
We are allowed to work with others to talk about it, but the reports are individual.
