We had a feedback session where I was given some advice or tips to improve my redesign, In this page I will share my thoughts and development of feedback
Isotype icons uses simple, standardized, repeated pictograms to represent social, economic, and scientific data in an understandable way, so for example to represent the genders toilets, they use a stickman with a dress for women, and a plain one for male.

So for this I looked at my redesigns and worked them to be more isotype like. Here is a before and after

I changed the car icon, to be more simpler. I changed the government and travel icons to be less complicated and also removed the circle around the pound to just be a pound. This is all done to ensure that each box is understood as roughly 1 in 5 adults in NI have poor literacy skills with around 10% of the entire NI population suffering from dyslexia, this is why I wanted to include Icons, to improve accessibility for those who struggle to read but still need to renew their MOT!
I was told that creating my own Access NI logo would help to improve the redesign. Whilst I don’t think it is that important, The logo is a bit dated so redesigning it to make it more government and trusting.
This is what it looks like currently looks like, you could make it on word.

I’m inspired by the following logos for this, As I feel they best suit the government design

So with these inspirations in mind, I designed these logos

I like both of these, the one on the right is a little cheesy, doesn’t feel very government like. the one on the left has potential though. I feel with the colours muted and perhaps a tilt, it can be more government and unique to accessNI. the square design was inspired by the department of justice uk logo. Here is a finalised draft:

I removed the blue square, changed the colours to be more doj like, and to be more “government” with it mature design
