Scran helped me when it came to my approach to design problems, Rather than beginning with visual styles or assumptions, I focused on understanding user needs. This allowed the outcome to be more purposeful and grounded in user needs, rather than driven by design

Researching played a strong role throughout this project, and it directly influenced the design of Scran. By researching other cookbook apps and designing with realistic constraints in mind, it helped to prove Scran to be a legitimate cookbook app. I also learned more about UX and how it is often simplifying and reducing friction, not adding complexity which was vital when designing for children

Scran also helped me to strengthen my awareness of hierarchy, spacing and content order. My early drafts were engaging but needed more clarity, but through refinement and feedback. It helped to improve Scran as a whole, by making it flow better with consistent layouts, typography and information. I found the Feedback to be very helpful, it helped to highlight any gaps and to show areas in which I could Improve in essentially making Scran what it is right now.

Overall I am very happy with how Scran has turned out, If I could develop it further I would do some User testing with the age group to see if I could possibly come up with more ideas for the app. I would also see about making it landscape as well rather than only Portrait. but Scran has helped me improve as a designer, as it has helped me to consider user needs more when designing which I will use in future projects.
