We’ve been instructed by Daniel, ahead of our first class to start writing our CV and run it through CV 360 and fix the issues below. So I wrote something without really any guidance as I have barely wrote CV’s so I just wanted to layout my skills, achievements education whatever I could think of. And I got 62% so some work needs done
I want to cover the main issues and fix it as I go along, so the first issue is the word count and white space, which essentially means I don’t have enough text describing myself. There was also the issue of me forgetting to include my contact details and properly mentioning my work experience, I did but maybe not enough for CV360 to notice/care
There was also the mention of soft skills, I only mentioned one which was team working so I will include more of my own. there is also the matter of grammar etc which is an easy fix
In my second attempt, It went a lot better increasing by 25% and while Daniel said that 85% is the acceptable mark for a CV I want to get 90% and above, I want to do the best I can! so let’s look at the issues…
My first problem was whitespace, which is an easy fix. to be honest it is just formatting so it’s possible that CV360 got confused, but I’ll take care of it, I was also told to keep my contact details at the top, so that the employer couldn’t miss it.
Also need to fix grammar! Which is simple enough, and then add more action words and personal descriptors, which to be honest, I have never heard of, so I’m gonna look into it.
I am happy with 96% the reason why it is that, is due to not enough power verbs and personal descriptors, and while I have gone back and added a few, I feel like adding to much just makes it sound fake, or almost Ai like, but there was the matter of the last paragraph, which is me talking about my work experience, It could be a lot better, so I’m gonna reshape it and resubmit
There we go! The CV is ready, now there are some points that were dismissed like white space or the ai not detecting the dates beside my course and flagging it, as well as a quick grammar fix which took one second. My CV is done with the writing, so now I got to figure out a way to convey these words into a smart and nice design.
